I'm a Denmark-based Virtual Assistant helping leaders, entrepreneurs, and busy professionals reclaim their time.

Running a business means a constant stream of emails, scheduling, coordination, and admin. Necessary, but rarely where your best thinking happens. That's where I come in: reliable, detail-oriented remote support that clears the operational noise so you can focus on the decisions only you can make.

Who am I?

I'm Matea - originally from Croatia, and I've called Denmark home for the past 7 years.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Management, and most of my career has been built in hospitality and tourism: 4- and 5-star hotels, guest services, international working environments. That world taught me a specific kind of discipline: things go wrong constantly, and your job is to make sure the guest never notices. Organization, adaptability, and staying two steps ahead aren't nice-to-haves in that industry, but they're the whole job.

In 2024 I moved into the corporate world, working as a Management Assistant at a large and very regulated pharmaceutical company in Denmark, supporting leadership with operational and organizational support. When the company restructured and my role was made redundant, it turned out to be exactly the nudge I needed. I'd been wanting to build something of my own for a while, and this was the moment to actually do it.

So I did. MK Virtual Assist was born. :)
 

Why MK Virtual Assist?

Most entrepreneurs and professionals I talk to have the same problem: too many tasks, too little time, and no room left to think. With a background spanning hospitality, corporate administration, and executive support, I help people get that time back - wherever in the world they're working from.
 

A little more about me

I speak Croatian, English, and Italian fluently, and I'm working on my Danish (it is a tough one!). And when I'm not managing someone else's inbox, I'm usually planning my next trip - including, most recently, roadtrips from Denmark all the way to Croatia with my husband and our dog, Ollie, mapping out EV charging stops and dog-friendly stays the entire way. Turns out cross-border logistics planning for a young Maltipoo isn't so different from the kind of planning I do for clients - just with more snack breaks. :)
